The Resource Library is the place to permanently store useful documents or links, while the news page is the place to display temporary news items that will expire to the archives after a set time.
How do I add an item to the Resource Library?- Go to the Library Control Panel section in the administration area and choose 'Add'.
- A new window will appear with an online posting form to fill in.
- Fill in the text boxes.
- Select the appropriate folder to store the document in from the 'Folder' drop-down menu.
- Under 'Upload Document', use the 'Browse' button to find the document stored on your hard-drive, server or on a floppy disk or CD – just like attaching a document to an email.
- You can also link to a document on another website instead of uploading one from your hard-drive. Do this by typing the URL web address of the document into the 'link' field at the bottom of the window.
- When you have entered all the required information, select the 'Add' button to submit.
How do I approve documents submitted to the Resource Library by others?- Go to the Resource Library Control Panel section in the administration area and choose 'Approve'.
- A new window will appear showing a list of items awaiting approval. Click on the title to view the item.
- Select either 'Approve' or 'Reject' by ticking the corresponding boxes in the column to the far right of the window.
- Once you have made your selection use the 'OK' button to complete the task.
- If you do not wish to approve or reject the document at this time simply close the window.
How do I modify an Resource Library Item?- Go to the Resource Library Control Panel section in the administration area and choose 'Modify'.
- A new window will appear with a chronological list of all items, with the most recent first. Like the News & Events list, approved items will be marked with an 'A'.
- Find your item and choose 'Modify' from the column on the far right.
- The modify window will appear with a completed posting form containing information about the document.
- Make your modifications by typing into the text boxes or uploading a different document using the 'Browse' button.
- Choose the 'Modify' button to apply your changes.
- Be sure to refresh or reload your Resources page to see the changes you made.
How do I delete an item from the Resource Library?- Go to the Resource Library Control Panel section in the Administration area and choose 'Remove'.
- A new window will appear with a list of all the items in order of the date they were added. Click on the title to view an item.
- Select the items for removal by ticking the corresponding 'delete' box in the right hand column.
- Click on the 'Delete' button at the bottom of the page to apply your change.
- A confirmation window will appear – select 'OK' to confirm your deletion.
