How do I add a news item?
To add an item to the news board:
1. Use the 'Add Your News' or 'Post to News' link which will appear near the top of the newsboard or in the menu options.- An online posting form will appear in a new window.
- Fill in the text boxes. The fields marked in red and with the * symbol must be filled in for your item to be successfully submitted.
- When you have finished, choose the 'Add' or 'Submit' button at the bottom of the form.
- The item will then be checked and approved by the sites administrator.
How can I find archived articles?
There are two ways to find archived articles:- You can browse the archives by using the link called 'archives' or 'back issues'.
- Use the search function to search for keywords within the archived item. To do this:
- Find the search box.
- Type in a keyword or keywords.
- Select 'Go' to begin searching. The results will show current items as well as archived items.
What is an Infocast?
An Infocast is an electronic newsletter that is sent out to a list of subscribers by email. It is usually just a snapshot of the newsboard so you can see what new items have been put on. When you register with an intranet you are automatically subscribed to receive that intranet's Infocast. However you can unsubscribe from the Infocast list without removing your registration to the intranet. See 'How do I unsubscribe from the Infocast' below.
How do I unsubscribe from the Infocast?
If you no longer wish to receive a particular infocast you will need to follow the unsubscribe instructions that appear on the infocast itself. This will usually involve using a link to get to a page where you can enter your email address to unsubscribe or by sending an email to a particular address with the word unsubscribe in the body of the email.
If you are unable to do this or have tried unsuccessfully, contact Infoxchange with your unsubscribe request and include the name of the Infocast and the exact email address you want taken off the list.
